Terms and Conditions
Last updated: September 2026
Private beta
Celsus MedEd is currently available by invitation only. These terms are a working framework for the beta period and will be expanded into the full suite of agreements listed on our Terms and Privacy page before general release.
Agreement to these terms
By accessing or using Celsus MedEd (the "Platform"), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree, please do not use the Platform. If you are using the Platform on behalf of an institution, you confirm you are authorised to accept these terms on its behalf.
Beta access and eligibility
- Access during the beta is granted via an invitation or beta access code and may be limited, changed, or withdrawn at any time.
- You must be a medical student, clinician, educator, or other healthcare learner, and provide accurate registration details.
- Beta features are provided "as is", may change without notice, and may occasionally be unavailable while we improve them.
Description of the service
Celsus MedEd delivers medical education content - tutorials, question banks, clinical scenarios, OSCE practice, an AI tutor, and study tools - refined over twenty years of teaching. The Platform serves and enhances this content; it is a study aid, not a source of clinical decisions.
Your account
- You are responsible for keeping your credentials secure and for activity under your account.
- One account per person; sharing accounts or beta codes is not permitted.
- Notify us promptly of any unauthorised use at support@celsusmeded.com.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- copy, redistribute, scrape, or resell Platform content without written permission (see Automated access and bulk copying below);
- attempt to access systems or data you are not authorised to access;
- upload unlawful, harmful, or identifiable patient information (see the clinical note below);
- use the Platform in any way that breaches applicable laws or professional obligations.
Automated access and bulk copying
Platform content is for you to study through the Platform. You must not:
- use scripts, bots, scrapers, crawlers, headless browsers, bulk-download extensions, AI agents, or any other automated means to access, download, or extract content, including tutorials, flashcards, questions, answers, explanations, and images;
- systematically collect or download content beyond what you need for your own study;
- get around usage limits, access controls, or the way answers are revealed, for example by requesting answers to questions you have not been shown;
- use Platform content to build or train another product, dataset, question bank, flashcard deck, or AI model, or share copied content with anyone else.
The Platform's own features, including offline downloads, are the way to take content with you, and using them is fine.
To protect the Platform, we monitor how much content each account accesses and how it is accessed, for example whether requests come from a browser or a script. If we reasonably believe an account is scraping or bulk copying, we may suspend or close it without notice, require you to delete any copied content, and take further action to protect our rights.
Intellectual property
All Platform content - including tutorials, questions, images, and text - is owned by Celsus MedEd or its licensors and protected by copyright. You may use it solely for your own personal study. You may not modify, distribute, or create derivative works without our written permission.
Your content and the Case Logger
Some features let you record your own notes and clinical reflections. You retain ownership of what you create. The Case Logger encrypts your entries on your device before they are stored, so we never hold them in readable form - you are responsible for entering only de-identified information, and for following your institution's and health service's policies.
Educational use - important
Content on the Platform is for education only and is not a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. It must not be used to make decisions about the care of real patients. Always rely on qualified clinical judgement, current local guidelines, and appropriate supervision.
Billing
Access is free during the private beta. If we introduce paid plans, we will give clear notice of pricing and terms before any charge applies, and you will be able to decline.
Disclaimers and limitation of liability
The Platform is provided "as is" and "as available" during the beta. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Celsus MedEd is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss arising from your use of the Platform. Nothing in these terms excludes rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Suspension and termination
We may suspend or end your access at any time for breach of these terms or to protect the Platform and its users. You may stop using the Platform and request deletion of your account at any time.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia, and any disputes will be dealt with by the courts of that jurisdiction.
Changes and contact
We may update these terms as the Platform develops and will note the date of the latest change above. Questions? Email legal@celsusmeded.com (Melbourne, Australia).
